Privacy Policy
This policy explains what By Any Means Basketball LLC, doing business as DETAIL Miami ("we", "us"), collects through detail-mia.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Training takes place at 16410 NW 54th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
1. What information we collect
- Contact details you give us: parent or guardian name, email address and, if you choose to give it, a mobile phone number.
- Athlete details: athlete name, grade or age, playing level and program interest, entered by the parent or guardian.
- Enrollment and bookings: the session or plan you choose, your signature on a waiver or agreement, and the version you signed.
- Payment: card details are entered on a form hosted by Stripe and never pass through our servers. We only see whether a payment succeeded, the amount and the last four digits.
- Automatically: pages visited, the link that brought you here, IP address, browser type and cookies (see section 5).
2. How we use it
- To book, confirm, remind you about and run trials, training sessions, camps and court rentals.
- To reply to your questions and follow up on a form you started.
- To take payment, manage memberships and send receipts and account notices.
- To send text messages and emails you have agreed to receive (section 3).
- To reach an emergency contact if an athlete is hurt, and to keep records of signed agreements.
- To measure which pages and ads bring families to us.
3. SMS and email opt-in
3.1 Text messages
We only text you if you opt in by ticking a consent box on one of our website forms. The boxes start unticked and are optional. Giving us a phone number on its own is not consent to receive texts, and no purchase or booking requires you to agree to texts.
- Transactional texts (separate optional box): booking and trial confirmations, session reminders, schedule changes, and account and billing notices.
- Marketing texts (separate optional box): news about training programs, camps, events and special offers.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also call or text us at (786) 244-3336 or email info@byanymeansbball.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3.2 Email
We email you about your inquiry, booking or membership. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Receipts and account notices are not marketing and continue while you are a member.
4. Data security
This site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, payment details go straight to Stripe, and only staff who need your records can see them. No system is perfectly secure; if something happens that affects your information, we will tell you.
5. Cookies and tracking
This site uses the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel and similar cookies to understand visits and measure our ads. The pixel receives browser-level information such as page visited, IP address and browser type. We do not send your name, email, phone number or athlete information to Meta. You can block advertising cookies in your browser or in Meta's ad settings.
6. No sharing of SMS opt-ins
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Your mobile information is used only to send you the messages described in this policy. We use service providers (for example our CRM and messaging platform) only to deliver those messages on our behalf.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you or your athlete, give you a copy, correct it or delete it (apart from records we must keep by law, such as payment records and signed agreements). Email info@byanymeansbball.com. Asking never affects your athlete's place or training.
8. Children's privacy
We train young athletes, so we collect athlete information from the parent or legal guardian, never directly from a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and we do not sell athlete information or send it to advertisers. If you believe a child gave us information without a parent, email us and we will delete it.
9. Media release
We may photograph or film sessions for coaching and for our website and social media, as described in the waiver or agreement you sign. To opt your athlete out of promotional use, email us.
10. Third-party platforms and external sites
We use trusted providers to run the academy: a CRM and messaging platform for contacts, bookings, texts and email; Stripe for payments; and our member portal for memberships. They process data only to provide those services to us. Links to other websites (for example Instagram or YouTube) are governed by those sites' own policies.
11. Policy updates
We may update this policy. The version on this page is always the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
